The Everest Challenge

My challenge in the spring of 2009 was to carry my sponsor's logo to the summit of Mount Everest. I achieved that goal on May 21st, 2009.  My sponsor, Alpharma Inc., Animal Health Division, also happens to be my employer. As a Veterinarian and Technical Service Manager for the company, I help to promote the health and well-being of cattle all over the world.

I also provided veterinary services by deworming the yaks used to carry our gear and supplies.  This was made possible by the generous donation of Safe-Guard from Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health.

As a "flatlander," I am proud to be from Wisconsin and show that WI flatlanders really can climb, one 'rest step' at a time.

Last but not least, I released some of my father's ashes at the top of the world.
